"Before Barbara moved into her new condo, she knew the interior needed a major makeover before it felt like home. The space had great bones, but it just didn't fit with her style. 'I am a very visual person. As soon as I stepped into the condo, I started to picture what I wanted it to look like,' says Barbara. The first element of her vision was the color palette. 'I dreamt of mixing shades of pink with black. Those colors felt dramatic and fun, which is exactly what I wanted for the space. They became the starting point for the rest of the design.' she adds. To turn her dream into reality, she teamed up with Carol Temple of Pizazz 2 Interiors. 'We left no corner untouched with this renovation and added Barbara's one-of-a-kind style to every inch of the condo,' says Carol."

An addition, renovations and a brightly bold color palette bring joyful living to a Kirkwood family. After selecting black cabinets for her new kitchen, the wife says she “had absolutely nothing else pinned” or any other ideas when she went to Carol Temple and Krissy Dickey of Pizazz 2 Interiors for design help. “I just wanted the house to be cheery and happy,” the wife says. Temple and Dickey had already advised the homeowner on a small-scale design project when the family purchased the home in 2015. “I told Carol then, if you can work with me to incorporate what we already had with the house’s dark woodwork, I promise you down the road we will either move or we will remodel this house, and it will be a fun project,” says the wife.

Two art enthusiasts let their colorful collection shine in their CWE condo.
Referring to their newly purchased unit as a white shell, and with the sale of all of their belongings, the couple truly was starting with a blank canvas. Their first call was to trusted interior designer Carol Temple of Pizazz 2 Interiors, who they worked with on their previous residence. They knew Carol could transform the condo into a space bursting with color and personality while highlighting their impressive collection of local artwork.
